Where do you want to start?

You only do this once

Sign up at a clinic near you

Pick one accredited clinic in Legazpi and register with it. You can do this in the eGovPH app, on the PhilHealth member portal, or by walking in. Bring one government ID. There is no fee and no queue number to buy.

Universal Healthcare Guarantee for All Legazpeños

Under Republic Act No. 11223 (Universal Health Care Act), all Filipino citizens and registered dependents are automatically covered by PhilHealth YAKAP. Even if your formal contributions are incomplete, you can register and immediately avail of primary care check-ups and maintenance medicines at Legazpi City accredited facilities without out-of-pocket charges.

How to avail, in five steps

From signing up to walking out with your medicines. Most people finish steps 1 and 2 in a single morning.

1

Sign up with one clinic

Choose one accredited YAKAP clinic in Legazpi City and register with it through the eGovPH App, the PhilHealth Member Portal, or via walk-in at your preferred health facility.

No smartphone? Walk in and register at the Legazpi City Health Office or the Homapon Super Health Center. Staff will do it for you.
2

Go for your first check-up

Your clinic records your medical history, checks your blood pressure, weight and other vital signs, and gives you a physical exam. This visit is what opens your benefits.

What to bring: 1 valid government-issued photo ID and your PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN).
3

Get your lab tests done

Based on that first visit, your doctor orders whichever covered tests you need: blood tests, urinalysis, X-ray, ECG or a cancer screening.

Zero Copay: Diagnostic tests conducted at accredited facility laboratories are 100% covered with no out-of-pocket fees.
4

Receive your prescription

If you need maintenance medicines, your doctor issues an electronic prescription carrying a security code. That code is what the pharmacy scans, so keep the prescription safe.

Benefit Allocation: The UPSC validates dispensation against your ₱20,000 annual GAMOT medicine cap.
5

Collect your free medicines

Show that prescription at the health centre pharmacy or an accredited partner pharmacy in Legazpi City. You pay nothing.

Dispensation: Chronic maintenance medicines may be dispensed in up to a 3-month supply per valid prescription.

Where to go in Legazpi City

PhilHealth accredits YAKAP in two parts, and publishes them as two lists. Seven clinics in Legazpi City are on the YAKAP Konsulta list — you register with one and it becomes your home clinic. A further five City Health Office sites serve patients under the CHO's own accreditation, and some places dispense the free GAMOT medicines without running consultations at all. Each card below says which. Tap any address for directions, or any number to call ahead and check the queue.

How this list was built

Every entry above was read directly from PhilHealth's two published accreditation lists and matched by its printed entry number, which is shown on each card so you can check it against the source. Nothing is inferred: a clinic is shown as YAKAP Konsulta only where PhilHealth's List of Accredited YAKAP Clinics prints it, and as a GAMOT provider only where the separate List of Accredited GAMOT Package Providers prints it. Both lists are current as of 31 July 2026.

Five City Health Office sites — the Homapon Super Health Center, the Buyuan, Banquerohan and Taysan lying-in clinics, and the CHO Laboratory — hold no separate entry on either list. They serve patients under the City Health Office's own accreditation (no. 2085), the way a bank branch operates under its head office's licence, and are marked as such above rather than claimed as separately accredited.

Accreditation dates are those PhilHealth published, and accreditations lapse. Call a clinic before you travel, and see the full sources and data notes on the health facilities directory.

Check if your medicine or test is covered

All 75 medicines on the PhilHealth GAMOT list, the 13 covered laboratory tests, and the 6 cancer screenings. Type the generic name on your prescription, or the test your doctor ordered, and check here before you travel to the clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the most common questions about the PhilHealth YAKAP program in Legazpi City.

All Filipino citizens residing in Legazpi City, regardless of employment status or past contribution history, are eligible under the Universal Health Care Act.

This includes private and government employees, self-earning individuals, OFWs, senior citizens, PWDs, 4Ps beneficiaries, indigents, and all registered legal dependents (spouses, children under 21, and parents).

For the covered services, yes. For consultations and the 13 covered laboratory tests, accredited public clinics (like Legazpi City Health Office and Homapon Super Health Center) are strictly prohibited from charging any out-of-pocket fees or balance billing. In private accredited partner clinics, primary consultations and covered labs are also provided without copayment when properly referred.

Medicines have two limits. You pay nothing until your ₱20,000 annual GAMOT allocation is used up; after that, further medicines are at your own cost. And if you ask for a branded product priced above PhilHealth's fixed fee for that molecule, you pay the difference. Ask for the generic and the fixed fee covers it in full.

Yes. Under PhilHealth Advisory 2025-0065 (YAKAP Clinic Transfer Guidelines), members may change their registered YAKAP clinic once per calendar year, or anytime upon relocation of residence or workplace.

You can perform this transfer directly via the eGovPH App, through the PhilHealth Member Portal, or by visiting PhilHealth LHIO Legazpi at Landco Business Park.

Bring any valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., PhilID / National ID, Driver's License, Senior Citizen ID, Postal ID) and your PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN) or Member Data Record (MDR).

If registering dependents, bring copies of their Birth Certificate (for children) or Marriage Certificate (for spouse).

Under PhilHealth Circular No. 2025-0013, each registered beneficiary has an annual benefit limit of ₱20,000 worth of covered outpatient medicines drawn from a list of 75 molecules. The limit is per beneficiary, so registered dependents each have their own ₱20,000.

Your accredited doctor issues an electronic prescription (ePresS) with a Unique Prescription Security Code (UPSC). You present this prescription at the clinic's dispensing pharmacy or accredited partner pharmacy to claim your maintenance medications in up to 3-month supply intervals without paying cash.

Two things to know: the limit resets every 1 January and unused balance is not carried over, and once you have used up the ₱20,000 you pay for further medicines yourself. At each pick-up the pharmacy gives you a GAMOT Availment Slip showing how much of your ₱20,000 is left.
